The Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) revealed the honorees in the 25th Annual FSEA Gold Leaf Awards Competition during the FSEA•IADD Joint Conference, held April 11-13 in Franklin, Tennessee. Gold, silver and bronze winners in 38 categories were recognized at an awards reception held during the event.
Nearly 300 entries were received from around the world, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Denmark and China. Judged on design, execution and level of difficulty, the competition assesses submissions utilizing specialty finishing techniques from foil stamping and embossing to specialty coating, film laminating, laser cutting, diecutting, cold foil application and more. With a commitment to gaining visibility for the processes and those companies that execute the decorative enhancements, the competition celebrates the quality, added value, shelf presence, security and brand recognition that these finishing processes lend to the printed sheet.
